Pain
is a woman in white
with long dark hair
caught in perpetual wind
in perpetual rain
plastered against her face
Pain
wears a white dress
tight across her breasts
tight around her shoulders
pinning her arms
useless

desperately, she reaches out
her fingertips
straining for something
just out of reach
Pain

feels the slap of her skirts
heavy against her legs
as she walks
aimlessly
over shards of glass,
cuts her skin
and bleeds
blood

without color
