Got an idea while scrolling through Tinder.

The ocean seems to spill over the horizon,

While taking it in, I think foolishly,

Now you can tell that's the Pacific,

Ribbons of foam curl around the shore,

The sun overhead is warm,

The sky clear blue,

I wish someone, anyone,

Would come stay awhile with me,

I imagine they'd embrace me sweetly or,

Clap me stiffly on the back and ask

If I was doing okay,

We'd talk about anything,

About everything,

Of friends and family,

Of how fate and circumstance led them to me,

I'd ask them,

"Have you ever been alone in a place so vast?"

"Have you looked from end to end,"

"Unable to see, unable to go,

Past some bend which must surely be and, surely be where the people

It really shouldn't matter,

It's beautiful here,

By its very nature,

Fed from the ebb and flow,

It doesn't matter,

Not at all but, if they were here I'd have to ask,

Whomever they were,

"Could you stay awhile with me?"
