Every day
All I know
Is the word
Black

All they say
And the tune
The world sounds
 Bad

I am blind
But I can hear
What they scream
In the shack

Daddy tries
But only tears
Couldn’t sell me
I’m so bad

Mummy thinks
I don’t know
The one in bed
Is not dad

And they drink
To drown the sorrow
That is me
The unwanted lad

In the night
On the porch
Left alone
Feels like raped

Why give me life?
A broken soul
No one wants
No one cares

Counting days
Till the end
Wondering
How’ll I die?

Would daddy choke me?
In the silent night
Hands of fire
Suffocate

Or mommy cut me?
The kitchen knife
Through my eyes
Already useless

My body
In a grave
Of muddy waters
And hungry gators
