When I look back and see the smiles
Before hurt feelings
Before sad eyes

I see friends who were
Loving and kind
And were always there for me

But now the faces show
Something different
Anger
And resentment
And wishing we were elsewhere

And seeing those same faces
Makes me want to scream
And hurt the people
that changed us

And a hug
Is all it takes
To bring us back together

But it only works
Momentarily

Then the
Anger and resentment
And wishing we were elsewhere
come back

And I know
That this will never work out
In the end

Because we no longer have friends
Who were
Loving and kind
And were always there for me

Goodbye
