What We Did and Did Not Do

Everything we've done

Everything we've said

All that was left alone

Everything left unsaid

Silence is power

Yet silence is fear

It happens every hour

Like a pain that just sears

All that is seen

Nothing's really done

And many lack the courage

To continue on

The events of war

Personal and not

Our own self-confliction

Are things that are not sought

Everything we've done

Everything we've said

All that we left alone

Everyone we did not defend

In the end becomes our biggest regret
