I got a gift when I was going to clean out a lunch box. I hesitated to open it... Enjoy

That little blue box

I stared

That little blue box

I wondered

That little blue box

I hesitated, confirmed but backed away

My heart fluttered and the voice inside me

Squealed

I wanted to open it so bad

To see what it’ll reveal

In my heart I knew

What it was going to be

But still I wondered

Would it be what I expect it to be?

That little blue box

I reached for it but stopped

Bit my lips and thought

“Wow” what a way to surprise me

That little blue box when it first caught my eye

Caught me off guard

As my eyes

They grew wide,

My heart, I think it let out a cry

After seconds, minutes, and an hour passed

6:30 - My patience, my curiosity, it wouldn’t last

I got up, walked over to

That little blue box

I opened and revealed

What you knew I wanted

The gift I expected but was surprised,

Like the unknown

A smile crept over my face

It’s meaning, only we know

That little blue box

Secrets it now holds.

It’s what I think of when I’m happy, (or who) =P

Sad, upset, or just … I don’t know.

On top a note,

I read: “A dog doesn’t question worry about its master’s judgement.

So why would you question God’s?”

 Now engraved in my heart

I have a few words

Maybe a couple

Yeah, only two

Thank you.

NOTE: The gift was a neaklace that I've been wanting for a while.
