A poem for a school project.

The Savior, by M-chan

Shadows dance across the sky,

Whispered words were all a lie.

Nazi promises are too good to be true,

So I guess we’re going down together, just me and you.

At least that’s what I once thought,

Then the famed savior I sought.

Liberation is in his hands,

He’ll help us escape from these nightmare lands

Oskar Schindler is his name,

A chance at liberty is his claim.

Is it too good to be true,

For both me and you?

Yet, we both know it in our hearts,

That Schindler is where our hope starts.

We must brave the risk ahead,

Or I fear more tears between us shed.

Shadows dance across the sky,

Whispered words were all a lie.

Fear not, though, the hero saves,

Our souls the Nazis will not raze.

The Holocaust was a great tragedy and a dark era in world history. Millions of innocent lives killed off by a murderous dictator; by means that are unspeakable.

Schindler was a savior for the lives he saved despite the consquences he would of faced by Nazi Germany. A hero is what Schindler was for those people whom he saved.

This poem is excellent! Loved it!
