Memories Remain
I used to be your daughter
But now I’m just a stranger
We drifted apart on the winds of time
Though the memories remain
And they taint my troubled mind
If not for the hand that guides me
I’d surely be lost in darkness
And I know it’s all for the best
Though the memories remain
I live with them the best I can
So let the flames of hell come
I will rise to meet them
Because I know where I belong
Though the memories remain
I will not let them destroy me
