My Road

I walk a lonely road

A long lonesome road

Seemingly one of no hope

This road travels endlessly

With no end in sight

No day – No night

Just an endless dimming light

Of dusk…

I walk this road

Searching for answers

To the questions that are

Burned in my mind

I hope to find these…

Most importantly;when? how?

During my journey

I encounter twists and turns

U- turns and bends

Rough roads and dead ends

Road blocking obstacles

Unexpected, unseen delays – detours

Unpredictable in nature

Arduous, challenging altogether

This journey seemingly lasting forever

How long to go to my next destination?

When can I stop and rest?

When can I get out of this traffic jam,

This mess?

They say this journey starts with “1 step”

Don’t forget where the previous step has been

Where the other is headed…
