Just a little ditty that I wrote one day. I felt the urge to experiment with rhyme and meter for a change (I'm usually a free verse poet). It feels complete in itself, but it might do well as the refrain for a song. I have no tune put with it just yet, though. I'm definitely not a lyric writer.

And in our heady altitude

You see through my ineptitude

Push aside my solitude

And hand your heart to mine

I hold your heart with gratitude

Think about our fortitude

Longitude and latitude

Cannot keep us apart.
