Another post relationship poem I wrote many years ago after a breakup and suffering through the age of a teenager.

I don't really like this poem, if you can call it that, but it was an early one.

My devastated heart still beats, you've locked it in a cage.
You hold the key, putting me through so much pain.

Your lips are venom, your nails knives.
Your eyes shooting fire, burning my insides.

Your heart black, your blood as cold as ice.
Your words nothing but careless sounds of deceit.
Your beauty nothing but a costume,
Which hides the real beast within.

You black out the sun, you blanket my rays of light.
Your venom lips lock with mine, you push my words back inside.
You cry tears; you smother my fire, my will, my desire.

Tis a mistake, I regret it so.
I have fallen from on high, to the depths of below.
I plummeted with you, hand in hand.
My anguish, my lover, my betrayer.
