This poem was written as if my ex-horse was telling me what to write. My horse was obviously an ex-racehorse. He passed away 2 years ago. His name was Goldrock.

Life on the Track

By Blood Rose Dragon

I was a racehorse fresh and clean

My coat seemed to gleam

My soul could be broken

But My words were never left unspoken

I found it very hard to trust

How could they see lust

When my eyes were dark and tired

It was difficult to be inspired

When they would beat me with all their might

They knew it was not right

They just simply did not care

It was not fair

The way they treated me was inhumane

All I knew was pain

Money was all they saw in me

How I longed to run by the sea

I am in a better place now

You will see me again somehow
