Good words

Horrible words

Loving words

Hurtful words

All from

Your lips

I love you

Get out

Never let go

Don’t come back

I miss you

I hate you

But that’s not

The worst of it

Soon the occasional

Fights turn to

Late time TV

Like clockwork

Accusations flow from your lips

Scorching like lava

Who is he?

Why aren’t you here?

You must be sleeping with him

You must not love me

I need you here

If you’re not here

You’re cheating

If you’re at school

You must be

Sleeping around

Because that’s what

College girls do

How could you even talk,

To another man?

Because in your mind

Talking equals cheating

Getting a ride to the store

Equals cheating

Even though he never

Saw me that way

Soon words

Turn to fists

I stood up’

For myself

How dare I?

Eventually I found,

The courage,

To walk away

I hope you’re happy

That you learned your lesson

Not to be so

I never cheated

I never lied

But YOU did

You slept with

Someone else in our bed

I never slept with her

I only gave her,

A place to stay

I never so much,

As touched her

I don’t even like her
