A lost ship poem

Oceans of Sadness, of deep sown dreams,

Over blue green water on the Aquamarine.

Sleek and serene from pistons of steam,

Kiss of a daughter named Aquamarine.

Wind blown sails with engines of Whales,

High on the waves glides the Aquamarine.

From North to South to ports of the world,

By passing Davy’s Locker on the Aquamarine.

Last voyage forever, White liner vessel,

Halfway to Heaven, the ship Aquamarine.

Nothing is left, all souls down low, on the boat of the free,

Nightmares forgotten, on the Aquamarine.

Take down your banners, friends of the sea,

Salute the long lost most, and pray,

For the Aquamarine.

I really liked this one. It had a nice rhythm, and I almost felt like I was right there. :) God Bless Bloodman.

Oleg Roschin

Beautiful and enchanting poem pervaded by hypnotizing, lyrically intense melancholy. Excellent work.

Beautiful poem, and it had such a lovely flow, I could almost imagine someone chanting this over the water. I really enjoyed reading about this lost ship and the sadness of it being gone.
