longing pain...

Longing pain, will never go away,

What do I do? To see the day through.

Like all who suffer.  How do we bother.

‘Cannot go on,’ the mind keeps going on.

Joints or muscle, headache or tumble,

Damn stupid trouble, malady and more,

Pray to God, or curse his name,

Forget the world, for one day.

So just sit alone, TV on,

Watching athletes stumble and fall,

While we drink and dine,

On nothing but wine.

Coffee or Tea, roast beef or ham,

Cheese on Toast or strawberry jam,

Anything for a no chance plan,

To forget the goddamn pain.

Good health to you, is all I can say,

We all suffer someway, everyday,

Farewell my friends, this is the end,

As I lie down, TV remote in hand.

If I die now, all alone,

At least I can see Bolt run,

And dream for a second,

For the end of the pained.

Longing pain, please go away,

See me through this day,

Stop the suffering,

And help the heart to sing.

Amen, Amen.
