A poem for myself, to let out my pain...

A balancing act.

Juggling all the things I can't think about

Trying not to let myself fall

Relying on them to;

Stay quiet.

Stay buried.

But soon exhaustion takes over

And they seep into my subconscious,

They penetrate deep into my psyche.

Until the only thing I can remember

Is the one thing I need to forget.

The past is behind us...

But mine is stalking me, shadowing me.

And my will is quickly dwindling.

Accept what happened?!

I'm not trying to fight!

But it hurts...

And each time my blade caresses my skin,

The pain only intensifies.
