La Luna the figurine

She prances about the empty room.......
like a ballerina ......
radiance and beauty entwined........
like the early morning mist........she dances about

hers is a long and lonely life.......she only comes out when her owners are out
for she is a fugurine and a magical one at that.....
beauty personified through her perfectly choreographed dance........

Things were not always that way......
she once lived in a small crafts shop......
where all the figurines where made

At night they would come alive as the shopkeeper closed.....
a myriad of wooden people in their wooden world doing worldly things...
And at the break of dawn.........they would return to their static poses......

And the circle would continue......day in and day out......
And as the figurines got sold ......new ones would be made
Some would find homes amongst gentle folk with other ornaments and dolls and things

Yet our figurine landed a life of solitude......
For the older couple that bought her put her on the mantle piece.....
Alone in the guest room.....and gentle folk as they were........never knew how she yearned for the
life she once had.......

And so she would dance as gracefully as she could.....for this was her dance.....her time.......her show
Melancholy and an infinite longing to be around others

Till one day the housemaid came in and accidentally knocked her off the mantle piece.....
La Luna.......La Luna the figurine who loved to dance...
