The Sea of Tranquility.

When disordered thoughts run riot

breaking free from their tight knot

to wrestle and grapple with my senses..

If in the commotion

I lose all notion

all semblance

of being myself.

With no more grasp of my situation

than a goldfish has

of the wind and the sea.

I’ll think of the moon

and the man who swims

in the sea of tranquility.

When the battle’s been lost

and reason’s been ousted left

to scurry about in the street.

I’ll cast my mind high to that

star in the sky and

dive once more into that sea.
