I didn't think,
I didn't try to rhyme.
Sometimes that's important,
but not to me,
at least not this time.

For the feelings were churning,
tumbling, twisting.
Emotions raw inside.
Struggling to get out,
too intense to hide.

Fingers on the keyboard,
unguided, eyes closed.
Words started to flow.
How they got there,
I really didn't know.

There's magic,
I could feel it!
Pure creation,
thoughts direct to page!
Oh, the elation!

Imagine my suprise,
when I opened up my eyes.
My masterpiece imagined,
true train of consciousness.
I don't believe what happened!

Words on the page?
Tell me it isn't true.

WAS THAT ALL THAT I COULD DO?
