A while ago I lost someone very dear to me, I love her very much and always will but when I see water and swans I know she is with me always.

A Swan in the dawn

There is a lake where i think of you

In the early morning the mist caresses the water

The splendour of the dawn

gives the memory…

Further along

A swan glides across the mirror

So subtle, gentle

strokes the memory

A water goddess

To live among the lilies

So brief your swim

in the panoply of dawn

The piper has sounded

you heeded the call

The swan has sung

and you took to wings

The memory stirs

A swan flies low

A mayfly hovers

In the mist…

Two lover swans

mated for life

necks embrace

I remember you
