The gulf between two people unable to talk anymore, unable to leave, unable to stay. Trapped in a stasis as time and silence eat away at them.

Silent Room

In that cold mute room

Shuttered tight against the night

Where we aborted the pregnant silences

That puncuate our lives

Time lies stagnant

In the corners of this room

Where the last light of dawn

melts into black

There is a vacum between us

As we lie together

Eternity passes between your breaths

Continents drift between your tears

In this room

Where we first made love

so close together

so intense

so innocent so pure

We cannot compromise

There is no middle ground

There are no mutual interests

As we lie silenty together

Seperated by forever.
