The princess and the darkness

The darkness is gathering
The hermit shades his lamp
The darkness is gathering
The angels fold their wings

The light is held by a fair maiden
The princess weaves her spell
The light is held by a fair maiden
The princess folds her fan

The darkness is gathering
The children cry for mother
The darkness is gathering
The angels sit and weep

The light is held by a fair maiden
The princess spins her web
The light is held by a fair maiden
The princess holds the flame

The darkness is receding
The princess unfolds the dawn
The darkness is receding
The princess lights the sky

The light shines on the fair maiden
The princess reflects the morning
The light shines on the fair maiden
The princess becomes the day

The dark is gone
