I Spy A Sparrow

 

A sparrow on the footpath I do see,

The way he slants his head at me!

I think he sees the bread in hand,

For near my foot he seeks to land.

 

I spy a sparrow on the street,

And pause to watch his joyful feet,

The way he jumps and does his dance,

I love to watch his merry prance!

 

I spy a sparrow down below,

Move too swift and he will go,

But drop a crumb and you will see,

The sparrow is quite quick to flee!
