A long long time ago there lived a goddess named Namira. Namira was the most beautiful of all the goddesses but she didn't see it. She chose to use her powers not to capture the hearts of men for she had that ability without her powers, but to always have men see a mask in front of her face because she feared the person she was was not as good as the masks she wore. Now these masks were not made in the mortal world for these masked everyone saw the perfect version of Namira for them and her personality would change to perfection for each person.  She walked the earth for many years, winning and breaking the hearts of men with these masks. After years of heartache she realized she had worn the mask for so long and for so many that she no longer remembered what her face looked like or who she truly was when no one was around. Namira cried out, she had lost love Yes, but even more she had lost herself her identity and everything that made her unique. She continued on wearing her masks, being perfection for every man she met but never truly being happy being someone else. Wars were fought for her, poems written about her, temples devoted to her worship and statues erected of her (although no one could exactly agree on the face). One day long after Namira had forgotten who she was, she walked down the street watching every man fall for her depending on what the mask showed them. She often wondered what each man sees, the temptress, the mistress, the servant, the partner or the mother, she was all those things and more but the mask would never reveal all of her but only the parts the men wanted.  while lost in thought she ran into a man, his bag ripping he began to pick his things up as he finished he apologizes and for the first time got to look upon Namira, as he did her mask shattered giving way to her true face, and letting all the glorious parts of her shine. How she wondered, her powers were to let each man see the perfect her so why did it not work, why did this man cause her to return to the person she tried so hard to escape? could it truly be that the person perfect for him was the real her, that he could love her for everything she is and everything she is not. The first time he spoke his voice quivered, "how, how are you so beautiful, my eyes will not look away. My heart sings to yours in the impossible hope that your heart will join mine in a duet. I can tell you are a being whose beauty is beyond what I can comprehend, nothing on this earth has ever or will ever be as beautiful as you" He knelt to the ground and took her hand and kissed it, please my goddess let me serve you, let me love you for all time. I am not worthy of such beauty but my love for you is true and pure. every moment you exist in my presence is a gift that I take as though it is the last one i will ever get. The goddess never once adored a mask again, she had found one who loved her for who she truly was so she never felt the need to appear perfect to another man. She was happy for the first time, truly happy. she knew who she was and what she wanted. She was the temptress, mistress, servant and equal all at once. She was her, and that was always enough.
