Fire Poem

 

Illuminate the benighted sky,

And don’t leave any there.

Reach out your skinny arms,

Open dead eyes and all the alarms.

 

Cerise, persimmon, lemon,

Stretch before they glow the ferns.

Crack and light the way ahead,

The secret path without thread.

 

Duchess Joanna will lead the way,

Burning, burning, burning.

Scarred vision with the smoke,

Ablaze flare of the scoke.
