Status: Finished  |  Genre: True Confessions  |  House: Booksie Classic

Written right as I broke up with my girlfriend and my best male friend stepped in as a shoulder to cry on.

Love is always portrayed as this beautiful,
Easy thing.

It isn’t.

Love is the hardest thing one can ever do.
Even when you think you find the one
nothing is ever certain.

Life has to occur around,
Or even through love.

People will smash your heart to bits,
Then complain when you try to glue all the pieces back together.

He is my glue.

Humans can convince themselves of anything,
For a while.

But there is always a point where the heart is done.

I reached that point.
