From unconscious state, eyes open wide
To find an angel by my side

A smile that seems to ease the tension
The knowing look melts apprehension
The caring hands that ease the pain
The thoughts of illness start to wane

Time to chat with friendly word
Leave fear and concern somewhat deferred

A state of calm as fears subside
I find an angel by my side
