Time to make a choice, my child

Will you sleep in the depth of the lake

Or will you swim to me.

Look how green the grass is here

Beyond this earth around my feet

On the shore, on the shore

Our happiness is alive

We mapped it out once before

(Don't be afraid)

Now hush, quiet before the calm

Half the noise is the water

I fear you may come to believe me yet

Far away in that place where you hid once

Where I couldn't feel once

In a sea of hands reaching, touching

Finally you see the sands

Finally you'll see the stars

This ship wreck between us

Is bound and determined

Is bound and gagged

An island of children is filled with small deaths

And those are always the saddest

It's time to be abandoned, but

Thanks to all the weeping

Enough to wash away the salt

I care, I really do

The ghosts drift along with the tides

The captain said it was summertime

The captain said it was...

So sing me your best memory

Of when you were swimming

I'm sure it's random, I'm sure that it's pure

You didn't like the slumber

But you made it to the shore

Look at how safe you've made our home

Now go back to sleep

In the deep, in the pool, in the memory

Because I like you best there

I like where we both belong

On the shore, on the shore

And you're close to drowning

In three fingers more
