All I want to do is run

Away from this mess

Forget this confusing life

Forget this all out stress

I wanna go away,

Away from here and you

Where everything is clear

The skies so blue

But then my heart craves more than that

And my love grows

And the smile on my face hard to keep hidden

Because it brightly shows

I think I love you so

But I don’t really know

Could you help me find out?

Would it be without doubt?

Love is all I want

And I think I want it from this man

But would you smile and laugh

And always hold my hand?

Unsure of what to say

When you confess your love

You list what you could give to be

And I ask for all of the above

Forget what I said before

Because that is just old news

Just take my hand and run

In these worn out, converse shoes

Teen love is so predictable

In most we know the end

But this moment is so perfect

Now that we’re more than friends.
