War

The once tranquil streets of the town,

Seem to have been shaken at the soul,

War cries fill the street all the way down,

As the monstrous tanks roll,

Laughter and play has ceased,

As the men in big boots come to steal,

The lives of many, no more is there peace,

No emotions. They do not feel,

People of different beliefs,

Are ripped from their homes,

When will there be relief?

Whilst the Nazis prowl and roam,

Caring neighbors try to hide,

The Nazis targeted prey,

The people considered a different kind,

Just for what they believe and say,

Nazi intentions are cruel,

Killing is their main priority,

Under one man's rule,

Crushing the minority,

This town will never be the same,

Normal life is no more,

Since the men in big boots came,

The wound left by the war will forever be sore.
