“Leslie I can’t believe you’re going to make out point, with Donnie of all people,” said Vivian as she twirled her hair carelessly with her finger. “You know he only wants one thing, and once he gets it, he’ll split, and you won’t hear from him again.”

“Calm down Vivian, he’s different from all the other guys, he’s actually very sweet. And besides, maybe I want that one thing too,” she said as she winked at her friend. Leslie was the kind of girl who tried to see the best in everyone, even her downer of a best friend. Even though she was just trying to look out for her, Vivian found a negative side to every situation. “Now, are you going to sit around and disapprove about my date? Or are you going to help me get ready?”

“Let’s go get ready girl,” Vivian said as she sluggishly followed Leslie into her bathroom. Leslie wanted to look her absolute best for tonight. Her long blonde hair was straightened, and her pale, purple eye shadow was going to complement her baby blue eyes perfectly. She had on a white, long sleeved shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans, tucked into her black, knee high boots. She topped it all off with a few squirts of her favorite cotton candy perfume and she was ready.

“I hope Donnie doesn’t take forever to get here,” Leslie said with a certain uneasiness to her voice. “I’m really excited to get to The Point.”

“Wouldn’t surprise me,” Vivian muttered as she walked out of the bathroom. “I guess we can watch some T.V. while we wait though.”

“Sounds good, we’ll watch our show, and he’ll be here in no time!” Leslie said looking as if she were going to explode with excitement. The girls turned on the T.V. and flipped over to their favorite show. It was about babies who were forced to be born in prison. It wasn’t the type of show Leslie would typically watch, but Vivian turned her onto it and she was hooked.  Leslie looked down as her phone beeped, and looked up with a cheesy grin spread across her face. “He’s here!” Leslie yelped as she skipped merrily out of the room.

“Don’t let him try anything funny, and call me if I need to come save you,” Vivian scolded.  Leslie stopped skipping the second she got to her front door and decided it would be better to walk calmly out to the car, as to not look too excited for the date. She walked to the car and greeted Donnie, and they were off. It was going to be a great night, the weather was perfect and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.  And if she was to get cold, Donnie would keep her warm. As she thought of this, a feeling of butterflies crept into Leslie’s stomach. As she pictured it, the vision was quickly interrupted by a car horn. “Slow down Donnie, we’ll get there when we get there.”

“I’m sorry babe, I’m just excited for tonight,” Donnie said with a smirk on his face. Donnie was the typical high school jock, tall and muscular. He was sporting a buzz cut, blue jeans, and a letterman jacket. He took hold of Leslie’s hand, and eased off the gas petal as they pulled in the gravel parking lot. Donnie clicked the lights off as he the couple began to kiss and grope each other. They were quickly interrupted by something rustling in the nearby bushes.

“Donnie,” Leslie said pushing him away. “Did you hear that?”

“It’s just the wind,” he said, leaning back in to kiss her.

“Will you please go see if there’s anything out there? I would feel a lot better.”

“Anything for you Leslie,” he said smoothly as he stepped out of the car and walked toward the bushes. It wasn’t long before Donnie ventured out of sight, and Leslie grew terrified. She waited alone for what seemed like hours, even though it was only a few minutes.  Donnie soon reemerged from the bushes and slowly strolled back to the car. “Don’t worry babe, I didn’t see anything.”

“Thank you, you big brave man,” Leslie said as she took hold of his jacket and pulled him in closer to her. The couple began to kiss again when they heard a sound that startled them both. Both of their eyes quickly darted over to the bushes waiting for some horrible creature straight from a horror movie to emerge. They stared for what seemed to be forever, and then much to their surprise, and bunny hopped out of the bushes and scampered across the gravel parking lot. The couple let out a sigh of relief and turned back, and began to gaze out over the city. Donnie then noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He quickly turned and saw a large, grotesque monstrosity staring at him, only inches away. As the two tried to cry for help, the monsters jaw unhinged, and let out a deafening shriek. Leslie closed her eyes and waited for everything to be over, but when she opened them back, the creature and Donnie were gone. She couldn’t bring herself to move, she was paralyzed in fear. She could still see the tall, ghoul like creature with it’s out of place jaw screeching. As she began to slide over to the driver seat, she froze. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up, as she heard someone gasping for breath in the back seat.
