Late night cries become apart of life
Giving you up seemed to be the only option
Too immature to keep you
Too painful to choose adoption

Holding you as you sleeps
Watching you as you lay
Stroking your head
"Daddy loves you" I would say

Anxious to here you cry for me at night
I would've rushed by your side
Gently picked you up
And reassured you that things were alright

I dream about you every night
The way you would look
"She has your eyes and my smile"
Looking forward to reading you your first book

Abortion killed my soul
Never will I be able to recover
I decided to rid my life of a blessing
Missing out on the chance to tell my daughter I love her

If only you were here.......
Inhale....exhale....inhale.....exhale.....
