Pain poisons the smile that used to brighten my face. Bound by unfortunate circumstances, my heart aches like a heart attack. I reach for the surface, but it seems as if my arms can't reach. NO hand available to grab for me, I sink deeper into destruction. I scream, but they are overlooked. Signs of disaster go unseen. Nothing but dirt around me, I become unclean. The stinch of hatred blankets my soul. Hardening of the heart suffocates the soul. Death is beyond the hills and quickly approaches. Running with no where to go, giving up seemed to be the only option. I stop. With my face towards the sunset, I wrap Mother Earth's arm around my neck, grab hold of her waist. She pleads for me to hold on a little longer, just keep screaming for help. I ignore her. Letting go of her waist was like letting go of all my problems. Peacefully, I fall. I give up. Death has won. This world has won.
