This is the first poem I've written in weeks after the death of my beloved grandmother. When we lose somebody that close to you -and my grandmother was my life, inspiration and everything else I had-, it's normal that everybody else try to cheer you up and make you understand that it all gets better. But sometimes, they don't sit down and think that all you need is space to cry, to scream, to blame and curse, to just break down. I miss my grandmother so much, and I love her dearly, but the day she went away was the day I stopped smiling the way I used to do. Hope you enjoy this poem; no rhymes, no edits, just straight from my heart.

I turned around and now you’re gone;
to the Heavenly skies you went away.
Now I’m walking all alone;
trying to find my way back home.

Like a wolf cries for its moonlight,
I cry for you at night.
Now you’re not in sight;
leaving my empty heart to die.

Why’d you leave so sudden?
Guess I’m too damn young to understand.
“It was her time” they keep telling me,
them I just can’t stand no more.

Sometimes I fool myself believing,
that if I close my eyes and pray,
you’ll come right back to me,
yet it’s not a movie and now I know.

And for you I’d give the world.
I’d throw everything I own;
my hopes, dreams, and conquers,
for another time with you.

Again I turned around and you’re still gone;
they keep saying it was better this way.
Now I see it written in stone,
and I can’t find my way back home.
