This poem is straight from the heart; no editing, not even revised. I just wrote it, and it expresses how I am feeling right now. Today, January 10th, 2012, I started my last semester of my Senior Year, and it inspired me to write this poem. For many people it's not a big deal, but since my best friends are really important in my life, I'm just sad because I know the end is near, and we're all taking different paths. I wrote this poem for them, just to express them how I'm feeling. I hope you can all relate to it.

Time is flying fast;

Not giving us enough time to look back.

One blink and we’re at the edge.

Now I’m afraid to blink again.

When everything was fun and games;

I wish I could go back again.

But everything that starts with a young “hello”,

Always ends with a saddened “goodbye”.

We still have many memories to make,

But I feel that time’s traveling at the speed of light.

Yesterday felt so miles away from the end.

Now I can’t help the tears coming down my face.

I can’t picture my life without you at sight.

I won’t get used to be without you by my side.

Without those tears of laughter;

I wish time wouldn’t come faster.

They say that no matter the distance, heart never forgets

But who’s going to comfort you when you get upset?

Who’s going to hug you if I’m not there?

Is everything going to be like the first time we met?

Time, I am asking for a little time;

I am begging you to slow down.

Give me a few hours to think straight

Until this moment fades away.
