I wrote this poem last week; it's basically about a troubled relationship. As I am still trying to top "Love is a Beating Heart", I hope you guys enjoy this one. I think it comes pretty close in terms of writing. Enjoy!

Time; it gives us a new year

As wrinkles in my heart begin to appear.

We still walk on the same old beach,

But your hand’s getting out of reach.

Where did we go wrong?

I feel like in here I no longer belong.

The house that with bare hands we built

It’s now entirely covered with corrosive silt.

So foolish and young;

Unable to keep up with the beat of the song.

We tried to defy time and space

And now we’re lost in the morning haze.

Locked your feelings inside a drawer

and turned mine into mutilated corps.

Memories slowly fading away;

As from your pedestal you begin to decay.

Time; it gives us a new year

As wrinkles in my heart begin to appear.

The lights have turned your soul into stone

So I think I might be better off alone.
