I wrote a song

Just to prove them all wrong,

But it didn’t take long

Before I found out they’re right.

I try to work hard

But I don’t go very far,

And I don’t put up a fight.

But things just don’t go my way

To keep the goal in my sight.

I try to live free

Just like I’m living my dream

But sometimes it just seems

I’ve got homework due

This is the thing that I like.

The sun’s in the sky,

It’s where I wish I could fly,

But I’m just too scared to try.

I’d have to fall to take flight.

The clouds seem so far

And I don’t like taking cars

I’d have to reach in my heart

To find the courage to bike.
