'"Where's my wedding ring?" wondered the makeshift proctologist.'

It's become a common misconception that longer stories mean better stories, but this is not always true. Sure, long stories develop the characters, describe in perfect detail every little object, have a beginning, middle, and end, but is that all truly necessary? With the help of your imagination, ten words can mean a lot. All of the words have meanings behind them. With our own minds and imaginations, we can turn what appears to be a small fragment into a massive drama. This is what I am challenging you to do.

The rules should all be obvious. There must be ten words or less, and cannot be copied from the internet. If I notice that you copied your story from the internet, you will be eternally shunned. The stories must be Booksie appropriate; no hate speech, no erotica, and only use swears if absolutely necessary. Each person can only enter five different stories. Lastly, absolutely NO sending radioactive chicken nuggets through the internet and onto my computer AGAIN. They are nearly impossible to get rid of, and if you send any you will get below last place and I will curse you to stub your toe at least once a week.

To submit the entry, either comment or private message me either a link or the story itself.

The prizes are the best part by far. The best submissions will receive a virtual high-five by yours truly. I will also dedicate a chapter of "Free Boosts!" for each qualifying submission. Best of all, for me at least, is that if you permit it, your entry will be published in the official Yesterday News Magazine, and you will be granted access to a digital version of the magazine. The number of qualifiers depends on the number entrants.

The deadline is May 6th, a month from when this was posted.

There will be rounds of elimination, depending on how many entries I receive.

Good luck, live long, and may the force be ever in your favour.
