The Notions

I'm going through the notions

because you have touched on my emotions,

and now we've grown apart.

My heart is slowly aching,

my hands are always shaking,

and something tells me,

this is just the start.

In the beginning it was endless,

our hearts easily tended,

but now it's mine that falls apart.

You promised me forever,

that line has since been severed,

I guess it's time we just move on.

It's a hard thing for me to do,

when my every thought was you,

and every hope was to never be alone.

But now I’m softly crying,

angry that your lying,

I guess I play the victim

here once more.

What you can’t see here is blinding,

while time is slowly winding,

before you know it this

will be no more.

You see what has happened

is you’re mistaken,

to think that while my heart is breaking,

I could lye down here at your side.

So wander on in darkness,

As I remember that your heartless.

For once you reach the other side,

you will be alone.
