The Transient Abode

The Universe, Earth, Life, and humans,

What curious things they are.

Really, what does it all mean?

Life can appear to be bizarre.

Many people don’t bother to ponder this.

They drone on, and live mundane lives.

Why can’t they see? Without meaning, life’s an abyss.

Do they realize that we all, one day, die?

Earth is a waiting place! People fail to see this.

“We die and never wake up.” No, something’s amiss.

There’s an afterlife, there has to be!

Once they learn of their dreadful fate, it will probably be too late.

If that’s the case, they will never be able to plea.

So continue on with your empty lives,

As for me – I’m looking ahead.

I am determined. I will seize the prize.

My earthly view have I finally begun to shed.
