nocpwar – Since time immemorial, poets have brought about their own concepts about love. Here we have
noc‘s take on love in her poem “wat love is”. Love is a symbol from God. It makes
your heart go pitter pitter when you are with him. True love will outlast everything. And this happens when two hearts become one. Two souls understand and share everything willingly. They are
RSPAYNE – Sir Richard Whittington (c. 1354–1423) was a medieval merchant and politician, and the real-life inspiration for the pantomime character Dick
Whittington. He was the Lord Mayor of London and an MP. RS has paid his tribute to this legendary figure in
his poem “dick whittingdonn”. You find the great man addressing Londoners over his dashed expectations. His agony is visible in
the words used. SUPERB.
sentinel – This will tickle your funny-bone. It is to make you laugh. JeRoman/Rommel in his
short story “bullshitising” has a trainee Nicholas Conway in an advertising company. With no great talent except ‘bullshitting’
he scrapes through to pay his bills. He is reprimanded for sleeping on the job. His good-for-nothing idea is accepted for an advertising campaign. He is even praised. Talk about being paid for
Julius Jules – Well, well. It seems all dollar bills come coated with the manna from heaven (read dope marijuana). What do you know? Money certainly has
its uses apart from being a commodity. Joseph D Smith in his poem “i licked a dollar
bill” tells about possible drug-coated bills. A man waiting to get high licks a dollar bill. Things started happening. And then he went CRAZY!
Faolan – Hmm. It is vampiric stuffagain but that’s fine. Faolan
in her novel “aderlass” has Sebastian, who goes to the mausoleum to meet his tormentor. He had been warned against
the meeting by Mazura the Persian. His tormentor turns out to be a gentle beast/deer Nathaniel. It is ugly. A gradual friendship develops. Past bitterness is forgotten. There is something good to
look forward to. NICE
Mosaic – Death can be cruel if it snatches a lover. Then one only lives in dreams or near the lover’s grave.
Mosaic in his poem “dream lady” doesn’t sleep well. Sleep eludes him. He has dreams
of his lady love, who is sad and he cries. She soothes him and floats away. They share a good laugh. He then awakes and lays a flower on her GRAVE.
Liesel – If we have read about vampires, can werewolves be far behind. Liesel in her novel
“safe haven” tells about Adelaide, 17, a lycan. She lives in an Italian mansion with seven others. She is enamored with Ivan,
20, who sees her more like a sister. He is bitter as this pack has claimed his wife and daughter. What can he do? Is Addy safe from DANGER?
Teller – Now, now. You never know what a poet can do with a medley of words. Kathy has taken
names of characters from her novel and turned them into a sensible poem “in clover meadows”. Some names are in codes while
others are nicknames. It is like a leaf out of these characters’s book. What they do and how they manage their lives. It is SOAP OPERA
victirier – A suicidal person will try to (what else) commit suicide. After all, their world has ended and so should their life.
Vic in her poem “my suicidal note” brings up the case of a suicidal soul. She has
been betrayed. She loathes this world. She will stab at her heart for that is the centre of her problems. She is on the brink of fatal DECISION.
Snow412 – If we delved into the mind of a suicidal person, can a murderer be far behind? Both are courting death.
Snow in her poem “mind of a murderer” gives a peek into his mind. He has suffered
and he wishes to inflict the same suffering on others. There is obsession and infatuation with the deadly deed. He becomes a weapon destroying others. Is this his GLORY?
Take care until next week...CHEERS!... and lots of luv and kisses...and...and...(I said SHUT UP!!!)
