Grip my hand so tight,
That we'll feel a pulse,
Every second you stay,
Is proving them all false.
Can your eyes open?
Or are you too weak?
I knew this was coming,
But still I must weep.

Can't even say goodbye,
No, no goodbye.

And I'll fall asleep,
Listenin' to your heart beat,
And I'll wake up,
At the moment when it stops,
I'll be here to cry,
So please don't lie,
I know you're gonna leave.

I want you to stay,
None of this is fair,
All the pain and tears,
Ensure our hearts'll tear.
'Cause I'm sitting here
And I know you'll die,
Maybe even tonight,
Forgive me when I cry.

Can't even say goodbye,
No, no goodbye.

And I'll fall asleep,
Listenin' to your heart beat,
And I'll wake up,
At the moment when it stops,
I'll be here to cry,
So please don't lie,
I know you're gonna leave.

Stay with me,
Stay for me
Don't go cold,
Return my hold,
And stay,
Just stay,
But the pain's getting worse,
Just admit you want the hearse,
You're not scared are you?
Darkness is nothing to fear...
Cept for me...

And I'll fall asleep,
Listenin' to your heart beat,
And I'll wake up,
At the moment when it stops,
I'll be here to cry,
So please don't lie,
I know you've gotta leave.

Can't even say goodbye,
No, no goodbye,
See you later,
See you later,
I know you've gotta leave.
