Anybody else feel this way? Like the body and soul hate each other?

There are two sides to me,
Like a split personality,
My body and my soul,
Two halves of a whole.

But my soul is a bully,
Always critical of reflection,
Disappointed in the mirror,
Wanting nothing but perfection.

With my halves battling,
And my nerves tattering,
Detachment is all I feel,
Hoping none of it's real.

Scars on the inside,
From the pointless war,
The body's trying,
The soul wants more.

I can't sleep now,
Just tell me how,
To stop the rampage,
End the soul's rage.

Let's just face it;
I'll never be pretty,
Too much to ask,
I'm fed up with me!

But I'll keep going,
And going and going,
Till I completely collapse,
Into the suicidal relapse.
