Expiring away to the land of nothing,
Withering towards a state of chronic decompose-ment.
Disappearing into flimsy hands,
Sifting through the final remnants.
Lost in the shadows, embodiment of the crowd.
There but not, not even merely existing,
Just a ghost of wasted time.
Observing the true joys of life,
Though never feeling the sensation,
Of accomplishment, acceptance.
For a phantom is a matter of aura,
With dwindling nerve endings.
