A poem about a person that wants nothing more then what is theirs....

Teasing Emotions

Eyes like candy and a heart of stone,

Trinkets locked inside your beating home.

Sometimes the sweet sugar leaks out,

From a simple mistake or rumbling shout.

A single tear or a thin red line,

A ransom note of items once mine.

They come out once and a while, much to your dislike,

A I  just sit here begging waiting anxiously to strike.

Craving your weakness with my hollow chest,

Just waiting until you give up the rest.

Lingering around for another sign,

A gift from my mischievous shrine.

I love the line "Craving your weakness with my hollow chest". Great depiction of a heartless being.

i won't lie when i say this frightened me for a moment. owning people scares me. and so does love. especially owning people in love. but after i made my heart shut up, it was like a bell in the wing, a creepy, but invigorating, resonating soung. i have no idea if that made sense but its all i got.

I understand the gist of what your saying and I'm glad you shared what you got from the poem. A lot of times people will just say the like it, but won't say why or along those lines. Or how the piece made them feel.
Thank you for taking the time to comment!
