I have sailed through great voids of emptiness and conquered my despair.

I've slain the beast of hopelessness , left him rotting in his lair.

My conscience is the sentinel of my wandering soul.

I plant seeds of aspiration , and leave them to grow .

I'm nurturing them carefully , so slowly they'll take root ,

in a place of desolation , where there's been no budding fruit.

I have crossed a dessert , plagued with famine; parched with thirst.

Trudging burning sands , of tortured mind , and searching heart

I've been stung by winds of loneliness.

I brave the place of scorpions in the dark.

I've forged a new beginning. I've built a brand new start.

My ship has reached a golden shore. Here my thirst is quenched.

A land of boundless resource , expands before my eyes ; a flowering oasis within a ravaged land.

It beckons me: "Come pilgrim. I am here for you alone." She calls to me : "Come sire. Come and claim your throne!"
