He who is feared,
stood on the edge of the cliff.
Pondering,
Mourning and,
battling the monster in him.

The fire within rages on,
barely containable
but it would not do,
if it overwhelms his sensibility,
or should it turn him into a ferocious beast.

The pelting rain,
doesn’t ease nor please.
Yet it calms him
with it’s bitter, miserable
ways.
For the pain melts away memories,
he would rather forget
even if it’s only temporary.

He would stay,
but light would soon fall
to darkness, and
all that truly lurks would be danger.

Even though
the most powerful of all,
the one capable of pure destruction
remains the man himself,
the beast within,
with a cry of pain,
of sorrow and,
of anger,
he left the place where he once had everything.
