In a world of danger and a mind full of fear,

How can a child stay close to us and near?

They'll look to fnd a safer place to go,

Will it be safe there? That may not be so.

With a gunshot here and an explosion there,

It is no surprise they are left in despair!

They run home so they can stay alive,

But at their arrival, their parents did not survive.

They close their eyes wishing this to be untrue,

Soon realising the worst and don't know what to do.

They cry and cry until their eyes grow dry,

Regratting the moment they left without goodbye.

They lose strength to stay in the same place,

But where to go now they know the world isn't safe.
