Goodbye Old Friend

It feels like I’ve just lost
A very old friend
But it’s for the best
That this must end
We could go on forever
You killing me
That’s not going to happen
I won’t let it be
The pain of you will fade away
Quitting is forever
It’s not like with drinking
I can’t grow a new liver
It’s time for me now
To take my lungs back
No more will you poison them
Turning them black
I can see an improvement
In my purse strings
So now I’ll save up
And buy some nice things
