What We Must Learn In School

Cody Angermeier

7th Grade

Kenmore Middle School

Northshore School District

At school, they don’t really teach you basic life skills, like how to get a job, or basic first aid, or how to pay taxes. I would like to address these issues and change the U.S. starting with this district.

  1. Teach basic life skills to children from grades 3 to 12.

  2. It must be mandatory that all children 8-18 y/o take a basic first aid class, and are red cross certified at a minimum of one time during their schooling career, it is a necessity to graduate high school.

  3. It is a high school graduation requirement to know all 30 basic human rights and is to be taught in social studies

It is a requirement that all people are taught how to get a job, how to handle and pay taxes, how to vote, learn about current events, learn basic U.S. and state laws, learn how to handle money and spend wisely, learn all basic human rights, learn how to raise and care for a child, how to properly treat your significant other, how to buy a house with a mortgage, how to judge and care for your mental state, learn how the political system works, learn basic self defense, learn to have success in business, and how to handle common world problems and conflicts.

Final Note

This is what needs to be done in order to have a successful country, cause statistically Americans are not as smart as the rest of the world, thank you for reading and please take this into consideration.
